Team

The Wildfitness team is comprised of a bunch of people with one common aim - to spread "wildness" in the world! Whether in London or on location you'll find us seeking nature and natural movement wherever we can.

Tara Wood - Founder & Director
Tara founded Wildfitness in 2001 as the natural expression of her passion for the outdoors and belief in the potential of the human body.  Tara studied Biology at Oxford University and practices a variety of sports including free diving, surfing, parkour and rock climbing.  Tara is constantly developing the courses.
Laura Knightly Brown - Marketing Director
After 5 years in advertising, Laura decided it was time to go travelling and rediscover her wild side!  Back from her travels Laura joined the Wildfitness team and does everything she can to help spread the wild word.  Her favourite ways to keep wild in London are dancing, running, yoga and getting lost on Hampstead Heath.
Sara Kessel - Bookings & Marketing
Sara is the voice at the end of the phone (or email) who will help reassure you regarding all your booking worries. Previously an actress and producer she will help get you organised, always with a winning smile. Sara also assists with the Marketing so any great ideas you have for promoting Wildfitness - she'd love to hear from you!
Jenny Brown - Bookings & Marketing
Having studied English Lit at Durham Uni Jen decided she didn't want to stay in the UK and get a city job... she wanted to work by the most beautiful beach in the world in Kenya. Fair enough! Jen is based in Watamu so she can drop in to lactic lift-off or boxing sessions before a day in the office. Or just work from the beach...
Netta Pakenham-Walsh -
Isle of Wight Manager
Born on "The Island" Netta has wildness in her bones.  After studying languages at university and working abroad for several years she is now delighted to be running Wildfitness on the Isle of Wight. Netta is also an avid forager and cook, whipping up inventive and healthy meals for course participants (and her friends and family!)

Ro Pakenham-Walsh -
Isle of Wight Manager
Sister of Netta, Ro came out to visit Netta in Kenya, joined a Wildfitness course and quickly became a convert! Inspired to start their own location on the Isle of Wight, Ro works with Netta to organise the 3 Day Energizer courses and enthuse guests with her own love of "The Island".

Erena Goodwin - Kenya House Manager
Erena has too many years experience in running hotels to count! Born and brought up in Kenya she knows a 'fundi' (expert) for everything that needs fixing and where to get all the yummiest fresh food. Erena keeps everything slick and in order but is too shy to supply us with a photo! Her greatest loves are her son and her dog Skippy.
Joyce Kumba -
Assistant Manager (Kenya)
Joyce has over 6 years experience in hotel management. She is on the ground in Kenya to help book your massages and any trips before or after your course, as well as doing many behind-the-scenes tasks! Joyce is your go-to woman for anything need during your Kenya course and will help make sure you have a wonderful stay.
Boaz Nyangai Mushivoji -
Assistant Manager (Kenya)

Boaz is originally from Tirika in Western Kenya and has worked at Wildfitness since it was founded; first as gardener for Baraka House, then as the driver and now as Assistant Manager.  Boaz is incredibly enthusiastic, friendly and willing to help in any way possible to ensure Wildfitness clients, and Baraka House staff, are happy and comfortable.

The rest of the Kenyan team

The rest of the Wildfitness team in Kenya consists of our cooks, house-keepers and training support staff.  They all look forward to welcoming you into the Wildfitness family.
