The Wildfitness base is situated 1 hour’s drive south-west of Chania, in western Crete. We will provide transfers from Chania airport to the hamlet for people arriving on the suggested flights. Otherwise we can arrange a taxi from/to Chania airport for approx 80 euros each way.
Ryanair
13:30 Stanstead London – 19:20 Chania, Crete
19:45 Chania, Crete – 21:50 Stanstead, London
It is also possible to fly via Athens, but this usually means overnighting there. The other option is to fly to/from Heraklion, Crete but the transfer time is 3 hrs and a taxi costs 110 euros each way.
Let us know if you would like us to book the flights for you.
Visas
BRITISH and all other EU/EEA/EFTA passport holders travelling to Crete do not require a visa provided that the passport is valid for the intended period of stay in Crete. For citizens of other countries click hereto check with the Greek Embassy.
Innoculations
No special immunizations or medications are necessary for most trips to Crete although Tetanus and Hepatitis A are recommended.
Please consult your GP for more information. A good website for travel health info is: www.mdtravelhealth.com
Travel Insurance
Adequate travel insurance for your trip is required. Insurance packages can be found at most high street travel agents or online.
We run our courses in Crete in the spring, before the summer crowds arrive and when the air is perfumed by flowers. Days are lovely and warm and evenings are cool (as we are located in the mountains).
