Perfect diet - still no results?
Some people do very well on a vegan diet, some people do really well on the Atkins diet - why?
If you are stressed, your immediately 'non critical' functions are compromised e.g. your digestion, reproductive system & immune system. A stressed digestive system will produce low levels of hydro-chloric acid and therefore can not digest meat so well. This is why people who are suffering from an illness often do much better on a primate (or vegetarian) diet.
The other problem which can arise is the now well known 'gut dysbiosis' where there is an imbalance in the essential symbiotic bacteria in our guts (candida is often a symptom). If this is the case, then sugars will feed this imbalance and one will be better off on the hunter-gatherer diet, paying special attention to cutting out fruit and root vegetables for a time (on top of cutting out grains and pulses and sugar).
