This may sound radical, and to begin with it can be very challenging! But the results from taking this step are also radical. These foods which are high carbohydrate foods have only been present in our human diet recently in our evolution and we are not evolved to run optimally on them. Indeed these foods are responsible for many health problems in the West. Our belief is that the reason why there is so much controversy around the subject is because a) these food stuffs are extremely addictive and therefore people don't want to believe that they need to give them up, and b) many businesses have huge financial interest in the promotion of these cheap and easily stored food stuffs.
So if you cut out grains, pulses and sugar - what do you eat? Meat, fish, eggs, seeds, nuts, fruit, and non-starchy vegetables. Two things to bear in mind:
1. It can be quite hard to begin with - some have equated it to giving up smoking!
2. Sometimes there are further complications to digestive problems that need more complex solutions. Click here for info on these.
Note: This is not the Atkins diet! There is plenty of carbohydrate in the form of fruit and veg. Also, unlike the Atkins diet, the fats and proteins that we provide are all of a very high quality - organic and natural. For more information on this way of eating have a look on the web for information on the 'Paleo' diet.
