Tara Wood - Founder and Director  (Based in London)
Tara founded Wildfitness in 2001 as the natural expression of her passion for the outdoors and belief in the potential of the human body. Tara studied Biology at Oxford University and practices a variety of sports including kitesurfing and rock climbing. Tara is constantly developing the courses.

Lee Saxby - Technical Director (Based in London)
After graduating with a degree in Sport Science Lee has been on a 15 year quest around the globe, studying with leading researchers in the fields of biomechanics, nutrition, athletic training and evolutionary biology. The result of his studies is a pioneering approach to human health and fitness.

Jess Reinhold - Coach

With over 10yrs experience in the fitness industry. Jess has a degree in Sports Science & Biology, is a qualified British Triathlon coach, a CHEK practitioner & Sports Therapist. Jess holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate & competes in Adventure Racing and Triathlon.  She loves all things outdoors & brings out the best in people.

Matt Walker - Coach

Matt Walker, an ex British Army Commando, has represented his county at Rugby, Tennis, Football and Athletics, completed 5 UK Ironman Triathlons, is a CHEK Exercise Coach and has studied Pose Method running and Kettlebell technique. Matt is the lead trainer for Wildfitness City.

Tesa Gammal – Coach

Tesa comes from the outdoor lifestyle of eastern Australia. She is qualified in Personal and Pre- & Post- Natal training, is a brown belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and has practised Capoiera for 6yrs. She loves to use her knowledge of functional training and nutrition to help clients realise their dreams.

Tim Rees – Coach

Tim is a CHEK Exercise Coach, Holistic Lifestyle Coach and Golf Bio-Mechanic Coach and has been a Personal Trainer for over 5 years. He is also a qualified ‘Pose Method’ running coach and Kettlebells instructor. Practising what he preaches Tim enjoys Triathlons, weight training and swimming.

Paul Wood – Coach

Paul is a former Royal Marines Commando, an American College of Sports Medicine Health and Fitness Instructor and is studying for a BSc in Sports Science. Paul has a passion for outdoor activities such as cross country skiing and sky-diving and is dedicated to helping people on their path to becoming functional human beings.

Joash - Coach
(Kenya - full time)

Joash is a competitive national Kenyan 400 metre runner.  He has also trained with some of the world's top trainers and specialises in boxing,  running and weights training.  Full of vitality Joash is a real inspiration.

Luke Duffy - Coach
(Kenya Oct-Dec 08)
From the east coast of Aus to the east coast of Africa.  Luke is an internationally certified strength and conditioning coach, a CHEK Ex Coach and Biosignature practioner.  A former professional rubgy league player in Australia's NRL he is a real team man and leader.  Luke's passion for coaching is equally matched by his enthusiasm for fun and life in the 'wild'.

Sarah Dundas - Course Manager 
Sarah has worked managing hotels & camps for many years.  Born and brought up in Kenya she is a wildlife expert and a Bronze Level guide of the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association. Ready to tailor the course to your individual needs, she is adept at maximising the wildness of your experience & makes everyone feel welcome and cared for!

Boaz Nyangai Mushivoji – Assistant Manager
Boaz is originally from Tirika in Western Kenya and has worked at Wildfitness since it was founded; first as gardener for Baraka House, then as the driver and now as Assistant Manager. Boaz is incredibly enthusiastic, friendly, and willing to help in any way possible to ensure Wildfitness clients, and Baraka House staff, are happy and comfortable.

William Kiwanza Bisani -
Head Chef
William is from the Tana River District & has been in the Tourism Industry for 17 years & at Wildfitness for the last 5 years. William, and his incredible team in the kitchen, create and serve delicious and fresh dishes and are ready to accommodate all your individual dietary needs.

Renée Ehmsen – Sales & Location Manager 
Based in our London office Renée is the one that most of you will speak to when you make your booking. Always sunny and smiling, Renée will go out of her way to answer all your pre-course questions. With a background in sport and sales when Renée’s not in the office she can be found playing hockey, surfing or snow boarding in a crazy part of the world!

Laura Knightly Brown – Operations Manager
After 5 years in advertising, Laura decided it was time to go travelling and rediscover her wild side! Back in the UK, Laura joined the Wildfitness team and does everything she can to help spread the wild word . Her favourite ways to keep wild in London are Wildfitness group classes, yoga and getting lost on Hampstead Heath.
