Need a break: it may sound flippant but we often find that what people most need is the ability to stop. To take a deep breath and let it all out. While we will of course be very active, we also proactively encourage rest. Everyone needs a balance between intensity, challenge and stress (good stress, that is) and peace, relaxation and tranquility. Whilst most people have more than enough of the former, we often neglect the latter. We even feel guilty about relaxing because it is not ‘doing’. Quite the contrary, relaxing allows your body and mind to repair, digest, build muscle and process the day’s events.
Loving living healthily: we all know roughly what we should and should not eat, how many hours we should be asleep and what great exercise we should be doing. But it is one thing knowing it and a very different thing putting all the good intentions into practice. It’s mostly a question of time and motivation. We aim to give you an injection of motivation by showing you how to fall back in love with healthily living. The love makes the small habit changes when you get back home so much easier!
Creak-prevention: as we get older, (coaches included!), it becomes more about extending wellbeing than pushing your body to beat your last triathlon time. It’s time to take a look at the niggling pain you picked up in your 20s and ensure that you have the tools to deal with it. It is also time for that movement routine that will keep you nimble and flexible, energetic and agile for your family, your friends, your children and grand children for decades to come!
